Erin Lundy-Rushing has been a cornerstone of the Graceland University athletics department since joining the staff as an athletic trainer in 2007. She was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer in 2015 and, in 2022, was named the University's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). In 2025, her role expanded as she was appointed Director of Sports Medicine while continuing to serve as Senior Woman Administrator and oversee athletic compliance.

As Director of Sports Medicine, Lundy-Rushing provides leadership for the University's sports medicine program, overseeing the healthcare needs of all Yellowjacket student-athletes. She serves as the primary athletic trainer for Graceland's men's and women's wrestling and men's and women's golf programs while supervising the sports medicine staff and coordinating comprehensive athletic healthcare services across all varsity sports. In her administrative role, she works closely with the athletics department to support student-athlete welfare, ensure compliance with conference and NAIA regulations, and promote opportunities for women in athletics.

In addition to her clinical and administrative responsibilities, Lundy-Rushing has made a lasting impact in the classroom and campus community. She served as a course instructor at Graceland for 10 years, teaching a variety of sports medicine courses, and continues to mentor future athletic trainers as an Approved Clinical Instructor (ACI). Since 2009, she has also served as the first aid coordinator for Special Olympics events hosted on the Graceland campus.

Prior to returning to her alma mater, Lundy-Rushing spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of South Carolina, where she worked with campus recreation, women's tennis, men's basketball, football, and cheerleading. During her time in Columbia, she helped launch the campus recreation sports medicine program and gained additional experience with Allen University, the USC Sports Medicine Clinic, the Columbia City Blowfish, the Columbia City Ballet, and an NBA preseason exhibition game featuring the San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers.

A 2004 graduate of Graceland University, Lundy-Rushing earned bachelor's degrees in Athletic Training and Physical Education & Health while graduating with honors. She also completed an endorsement in Secondary Education and Coaching. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina.

As a Graceland student-athlete, Lundy-Rushing was a member of the Yellowjacket softball team, playing both catcher and outfielder. She also served as President of the Student Athletic Trainers Association for two years and gained valuable hands-on experience working with volleyball, baseball, and men's and women's basketball.

Originally from Tracy, Iowa, Lundy-Rushing attended Twin Cedars Community Schools, where she participated in softball and volleyball. She married Kevin Rushing in October 2025 and is a proud bonus mom to Landon and Ryker. The family resides in Lamoni, Iowa, with her husband, children, mother, and their beloved fur babies.
