Senior Spotlight: Jerred Soriano

LAMONI - The Graceland University athletic department is honoring a Spring sport senior who did not get the chance to finish their final season. This week we are honoring the seniors on this year's baseball team. The baseball team had just over half of their 2020 campaign remaining when the season was officially cancelled. Our next baseball Senior Spotlight is Jerred Soriano.

Jerred was a two-year member of the Yellowjacket baseball program and primarily played first base. He also played right field in spurts this season as well. He was a transfer from the College of the Desert JC and a native of Honolulu, Hawaii. Soriano was hitting .274 on the season and held a .419 slugging percentage.

Soriano totaled 17 hits, three doubles, and two home runs in 21 games played throughout the shortened 2020 season. He also had 12 RBI and drew 12 walks. Defensively, he had a .990 fielding percentage in 98 chances.

Graceland University wants to thank Jerred for his committment to the baseball program and Graceland Athletics as a whole. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
