Graceland Dance Improves Score at Doane Invitational

CRETE, Neb. — The Graceland University Yellowjackets dance team posted a final score of 85.71 at the Doane Dance Invitational on January 31, improving on their performance from the day prior at the Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Classic in Salina, Kan., where they scored 83.75.

Graceland's 2:54-minute routine was evaluated across jazz, pom and hip hop styles, receiving high marks for Collegiate Image (10.0) and consistently strong averages in Execution and Choreography across all genres. Judges noted technical accuracy in Pom Technique and stylistic range in Jazz and Hip Hop categories. No deductions were assessed.

The Yellowjackets continue to build strategically toward championship form, with the goal of peaking in March at the Heart of America Athletic Conference competition. Head coach and team leadership have emphasized score composition, section timing and synchronization as key areas of focus during this midseason stretch.
