GU Picked Third in North Division in 2025 Heart Football Coaches Poll

LAMONI, Iowa – The Heart of America Athletic Conference announced its 2025 Football Coaches Poll on Thursday, with Graceland University earning a third-place projection in the North Division and picking up one first-place vote from league coaches.

Defending NAIA National Champion Grand View topped the North Division poll with 36 points and six first-place votes, followed by Peru State (28). The Yellowjackets claimed 25 points, just three shy of the No. 2 spot, signaling strong respect from conference coaches entering the fall. Graceland did garner the only first place vote not granted to the Vikings in the 2025 poll. William Penn (22), Saint Ambrose (17), Culver-Stockton (12), and Clarke (7) rounded out the division.

In the South Division, Benedictine earned the top spot with 35 points and five first-place votes. Baker and MidAmerica Nazarene tied for second with 29 points each, while Missouri Baptist (21), Missouri Valley (16), Central Methodist (11), and William Woods (6) followed.

The Yellowjackets will open the 2025 season on Saturday, September 6 at 3PM with a cross-division matchup against William Woods to launch its 2025 season. The full 2025 schedule is available at heartofamericaconference.com.
