Bio

Coach Jelifer Alphonse is in his first season as the wide receivers coach at Graceland University, bringing with him a strong football background, dynamic leadership, and a proven track record in player development.

Prior to joining the Yellowjackets, Alphonse served as the quarterbacks coach at Miami Carol City High School in 2024. In 2023, he held dual roles as assistant recruiting coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Virginia University of Lynchburg, where he honed his skills in recruitment and offensive development.

From 2021 to 2022, Alphonse was the offensive coordinator and associate head coach at Miami Beach High School, where he helped lead the program to its first winning season in over a decade. Under his guidance, the team became one of the top offensive units in South Florida, thanks to his innovative approach and commitment to excellence.

As a player, Alphonse was a standout cornerback, earning a 2-star rating from both 247Sports and Rivals. He continued his playing career at Henderson State University and Chabot College, building a deep understanding of the game from multiple perspectives.

A native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Miami, Florida, Coach Alphonse earned his bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Arizona State University. Off the field, he takes great pride in being a devoted father to his daughter, Zylah.
