Graceland Men's Track has Four Compete at Pittsburg State Tune-Up

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Graceland University men's outdoor track and field team competed April 19 at the Pittsburg State Tune-Up, recording marks in sprints, middle distance and throws.

Elias Walker led the sprint group with times of 11.27 in the 100 meters and 23.44 in the 200 meters, while Brice Taylor posted a team-best 49.93 in the 400 meters and added a 22.04 mark in the 200. Payton Miller followed with a 53.46 in the 400 meters, and Bradley Harris paced the 800 meters in 2:05.79 .

In the field events, Frankie Vigil led Graceland throwers in the hammer throw with a mark of 43.42 meters, while Hunter Brumley added 35.16 meters. The throwing group also saw attempts in a competitive field across multiple events .

Head Coach Tom Shore:
"We saw solid efforts across both the track and field groups. The throwers and sprinters continue to make progress, and this meet helped us prepare for the next phase of the season."

Graceland returns to action Friday, April 24, at the Grand View Viking Classic. The meet is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Duke Williams Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
