"We emphasized scoring in all three positions and pushing the pace," said head coach Evan Hansen. "Our guys responded with bonus points when we needed them. The pins at 125 and 197 were critical, and we showed composure after dropping a few matches in the middle weights. That's the type of dual performance we expect as we move deeper into the season."
With the win, Graceland adds to its regular-season résumé as it prepares for postseason qualification events. (Overall and conference records were not available at the time of release.)
The Yellowjackets will next compete at the Last Chance Tournament on Friday, Feb. 13. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. CST at the Kuyper Athletic Complex in Pella, Iowa.
