Four Graceland Runners Qualify for NAIA National Marathon

LAMONI, Iowa — Graceland University is proud to announce that four cross country student-athletes have qualified to compete in the 2025 NAIA National Marathon, set for December 15 in Dallas, Texas. This year marks a location change for the prestigious race, which had previously been held in Sacramento, California, the past two years.

Graceland will be represented by Rene Romero, Moses Ridley, Alissa Carusso, and Sierra Davenport, each earning qualification through their performances during the fall 2025 cross country season.

"I'm incredibly proud of all four of these athletes," said Head Coach Tom Shore. "They've shown tremendous work ethic and discipline throughout the season, and qualifying for nationals is a testament to their preparation and commitment. We're excited to represent Graceland on the national stage in Dallas."

The NAIA Marathon is one of the association's most demanding events, showcasing the best in long-distance runners from across the country.
