Zimmerman Leads Graceland at Simpson’s Storm Spring Classic

INDIANOLA, Iowa — The Graceland University women's golf team competed at the Storm Spring Classic, hosted by Simpson College, in round one stroke play action at Indianola Country Club.

Rylee Zimmerman led the Yellowjackets, posting a 90 (+19) to finish tied for 12th on the par-71, 5,670-yard layout. Macy Schilb followed with a 100 (+29), while Kennedy Jones carded a 112 (+41) to complete Graceland's lineup.

The field saw scoring separation driven by approach proximity and greens in regulation, with limited birdie opportunities across the course.

"We need to be sharper with our irons and give ourselves more makeable putts," head coach Kevin Brunner said. "This round helps identify what we need to tighten up before conference."

Graceland returns to action May 4-5 at 8 a.m. CDT for the Heart of America Conference Meet at Outlaw Golf Course at Paradise Pointe in Smithville, Missouri, competing over two days in stroke play format.
