Graceland Women’s Golf Concludes Season at Heart of America Championship

SMITHVILLE, Mo.The Graceland University women's golf team closed its 2024-25 season Tuesday at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex – Outlaw Course. The Yellowjackets finished tied for 12th in the final team standings after three rounds of conference play.

Macy Schilb paced Graceland with a three-round total of 304, highlighted by a final-round 97 after carding rounds of 102 and 105 during the opening two days. Kennedy Jones finished with a 339 total following rounds of 117, 109 and 113.

The championship field competed on the 5,947-yard, par-72 layout at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. Mount Mercy captured the team title with a 936 total, while Chiara Bothe of Mount Mercy earned medalist honors at 10-under-par for the tournament.

"We knew the conference championship would be a challenge, but our group continued to compete through all 54 holes," Graceland head coach Kevin Brunner said. "This season gave us valuable experience in tournament conditions and conference play, and we'll use that moving forward as we continue building the program."

With the Heart of America Championship serving as the final event of the season, the Yellowjackets conclude their 2024-25 campaign.
