Bio
Assistant Coach – Aroa Gallego
Aroa Gallego joined the Graceland University women’s soccer coaching staff in 2023 and brings international experience and player development expertise to the program.
Originally from Alicante, Spain, Gallego began her coaching career with Sporting Plaza Argel, where she worked with U10 and U12 girls’ teams, focusing on technical skill development and implementing game strategies. She later served as a student assistant coach at Rich Mountain Community College (Ark.), where she gained valuable experience in video analysis, recruitment, and tactical preparation.
Since arriving at Graceland, Gallego has contributed in multiple areas, including opponent scouting, training session planning, and recruitment efforts, while also emphasizing player growth and a positive team culture.
Gallego is pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Coaching at Graceland University, building on her Associate of Arts degree in Psychology from Rich Mountain.
Her background as both a coach and a student-athlete, combined with her knowledge of the game and bilingual communication skills, strengthens the Yellowjackets’ staff and supports the continued development of the women’s soccer program.
