Yellowjackets Post PRs at Northwest Missouri State Bearcat Invite
MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Graceland University indoor track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday at the 2026 Bearcat Invite hosted by Northwest Missouri State University at Hughes Fieldhouse. The Yellowjackets recorded multiple season-best performances and two personal records as they continue preparations for postseason competition.

Women's Highlights
Graceland's women competed across sprint and middle-distance events in a championship-style format.
In the 400 meters, Grace Testerman recorded a time of 1:11.88 . The effort adds depth to the quarter-mile group entering the final stretch of the indoor season.
The sprint group continued to trend upward. Kaydence Wynglarz recorded a personal record, showing improvement in acceleration and top-end velocity. Camryn Talcott also posted a personal record, marking a significant progression point ahead of conference competition.
The 800-meter field featured multiple provisional-caliber performances at the top of the standings , providing a competitive environment for Graceland's middle-distance unit to refine race distribution and positioning.
Men's Highlights
On the men's side, Graceland saw competitive efforts in the short sprints and one-lap events.
In the 60-meter dash, Tael Jean clocked 6.98 in preliminaries , while Elias Walker posted a 7.16 performance . The event emphasized reaction time and drive phase mechanics against a field that included multiple sub-6.80 qualifiers.
Brice Taylor competed in both the 200 and 400 meters, finishing in 22.21 in the 200 and 50.53 in the 400 . His 400-meter split demonstrated sustained pace through the final 100 meters.
In the 600-yard run, Bradley Harris posted a time of 1:18.64 , focusing on controlled pacing through the opening laps before closing over the final stretch.
The Bearcat Invite served as a competitive benchmark as the Yellowjackets transition into their final regular-season meet.
Graceland returns to action Saturday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. CST at the Grinnell College Darren Young Classic Day held at the Charles Benson Bear Recreation and Athletic Center in Grinnell, Iowa.
