Graceland recorded one fall on the day and multiple consolation advancements against a field that featured nationally competitive programs. The Yellowjackets emphasized positional control, hand fighting and mat awareness throughout the tournament.

"Competing at an open of this caliber exposes our athletes to strong neutral attacks and high-level mat transitions," head coach Evan Hansen said. "We saw improvement in scramble situations and counter offense, and we will build on that as we prepare for our next dual."

The Yellowjackets now turn their focus to one of the premier matchups of the season.

Up Next: Graceland travels to face Missouri Baptist in a dual on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. CST at the Carl & Deloris Petty Student Recreation Complex in St. Louis, Missouri. The dual will feature top-tier collegiate competition and serve as a significant benchmark event.
