No. 24 Graceland Places Five on Heart All-Conference Team, Lorensen COY

LAMONI, Iowa — Following its first outright Heart of America Athletic Conference regular-season championship and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, No. 24 Graceland University had five players named to the 2026 Heart Men's Basketball All-Conference teams.

Head coach Todd Lorensen, in his third season, was named the Heart Coach of the Year — the first of his career .

Graceland earned two First Team selections, one Second Team selection and two Third Team selections .

"Our body of work was rewarded with five players on the all-conference team," Lorensen said. "We have a talented league and 15 teams, so getting two first-team selections, one second-team selection and two third-team selections shows how strong of a season our team had and the league coaches rewarded our players."

Senior Cole Bowen was named to the All-Conference First Team and the All-Defensive Team for the second consecutive year .

"He has been so consistent in his two seasons here," Lorensen said. "Being first team and all-defensive team in back-to-back years is an incredible feat."

Graduate student Carson Busch also earned First Team honors .

"Carson has been as good as any guard in the league this year," Lorensen said. "His ability to finish around the rim and consistently knock down shots makes him a tough matchup. He's always had this in him, but this year he's done it over the entire season rather than in stretches of the season."

Senior Runey Hernandez was selected to the All-Conference Second Team .

"He has had a great season," Lorensen said. "His stats speak for themselves, but he does a lot of things that don't show up in the stats as well. His ability to pass, see a play ahead and his IQ on defense are invaluable to us."

Senior Deundra Roberson and senior Micah Lamberth were named to the All-Conference Third Team .

"Dre is an explosive player who brings so much to the table on both ends of the court," Lorensen said. "On a lot of teams he could have 'better' numbers, but he's an unselfish player who puts winning as his priority."

"Micah is one of the most coachable players I've had in my career," Lorensen said. "From the moment he got to campus, he's been a team-first guy and a leader in the locker room. It's always refreshing when those players are rewarded with personal accolades."

"When your team has a great season, the likelihood of getting postseason individual honors always goes up," Lorensen said. "I've always believed that team success and individual success can be connected. We are happy for these individuals and grateful that they are committed to our team goals."

Graceland clinched its first outright Heart regular-season championship last Saturday night and secured the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament. The Yellowjackets defeated Peru State College 95–68 in Tuesday's Heart quarterfinals and will host Central Methodist University in the Heart Conference Tournament Semifinals on Friday night at the Morden Center.
